The First Step: The Initial Consultation
During your first meeting with us, you will become acquainted with our team, learn more about orthodontics, receive a complete initial exam, and find out which treatment options will best meet your needs. Your consultation will include:
- Review your dental and medical history
- Provide you a complete oral exam with X-rays to determine whether or not treatment is required
- Create a customized treatment plan based on your needs and budget
- Discuss all financial information, insurance options, and payment plans to make the process convenient for you
Our team will be glad to answer any questions you may have. We will provide all the information you need to determine which treatment is right for you.
After the Initial Consultation
Once you are done with the initial consultation, we will schedule your appointment and the doctor will place your new orthodontic appliance.
This appointment usually lasts approximately one hour. During this time our team stays by your side to make sure that you are comfortable and relaxed.
Scheduling Your Appointments
When you are undergoing orthodontic treatment of any kind, visiting the orthodontist every four to eight week is crucial. Our team will work with you to make sure that your appointments are as convenient as possible. During the scheduling process, please let us know what days and times work best for you.
We understand that “life happens” and last minute switches may arise. If you are running late or need to reschedule, let us know and we will do everything we can to accommodate your needs.
Visiting Your Dentist
Please continue to visit your family dentist for regular teeth cleaning or routine checkups once every six months even during your orthodontic treatment. This will help maintain optimum oral health and keep any dental problems at bay.
If the need for extra dental care arises, we will be happy to coordinate with your dentist to make sure that you are receiving complete oral care at all times.
